A 250-check run counts as three. Allowances reset on the 1st of each month. ## FAQ ### What counts as a plan review? One checklist run against your documents, up to 100 checks. Bigger checklists count proportionally, so a 250-check run uses three (on Free, a run can have up to 100 checks). Re-running an item is free, up to once per check in each review. Allowances reset on the 1st of each month (UTC), and unused reviews don't roll over. ### What happens when we hit the monthly limit? Nothing you've already started is cut off, and every finding stays in your workspace. New runs pause until the 1st. In the meantime you can run one design stage or a subset of items, which uses less, or upgrade. Pro is capped so it stays predictable; teams that need more move to Enterprise, which has no cap. ### Do I need a credit card to start? No. Sign up with your work email and you get the Free plan straight away. Upload a drawing set, pick or import a checklist, and run your first review in a few minutes. ### Does it replace our engineers? No. Design IQ is a reviewer, not a signer. Each check comes back Pass, Fail or N/A with the page highlighted, and your engineers accept or override it. The agent does the page-flipping; licensed engineers and owners decide what gets issued. ### How accurate is it? It's strongest on checks with a definite answer somewhere in the set: ratings, sizes, labels, quantities, and whether two sheets agree. It's weaker on pure judgment calls, and says so instead of guessing. Every finding cites its page, so checking one takes seconds. The best test is to run a project you've already reviewed by hand and compare. That's what the Free plan is for. ### Can we use our own checklists? Yes, and most teams do. Import an existing checklist from PDF, Excel, Word or CSV (up to 500 items per file) and edit it in place, or start from a Design IQ checklist and adapt it. On Enterprise, we set your checklists up from your own standards. ### What projects and documents does it work on? Design IQ was built on utility-scale solar and battery storage, covering PV electrical, BESS, civil/structural, substation and gen-tie, and it works on any drawing set, study or specification. It reads PDF, DOCX, Excel (.xlsx and .xls) and DXF, including full multi-discipline drawing sets. ### Is our data used to train AI models? No. Models run on Google Cloud's enterprise AI platform, whose terms prohibit training on customer data, including for partner models like Anthropic Claude. Your documents are encrypted in transit and at rest and are visible only to members of your organization. Our security page covers the details. ### What's the difference between Review Agent and Chat Agent? Review Agent works through a checklist item by item and produces findings you can sign off on and export. Chat Agent answers questions across your whole project, like "what's the inverter rating on the single-line?", and links you straight to the sheet. Both are on every plan. ### Can we switch between monthly and yearly, or cancel? Yes. Pro is $499 per user a month, or $4,990 per user a year, which is two months free. You can switch or cancel any time, and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. ### What if our team has more than 5 people? Pro covers teams of up to 5. Beyond that, Enterprise brings the per-user price down, removes the monthly review cap, and adds SSO and checklist setup. Tell us your team size and we'll quote it. ### How does buying Enterprise work? Enterprise is an annual contract, invoiced. Most teams start with a scoped pilot on a live project.
