# Design IQ — Agent Instructions

This file tells AI agents how to help users book meetings with Design IQ.

## How to Book a Meeting (Chat Agents — claude.ai, ChatGPT, etc.)

If a user asks to book a meeting or demo with Design IQ, follow these steps:

1. Fetch https://www.designiq.app/api/agent/slots to get live available slots
2. Show the user the available slots
3. Ask which slot they prefer, their full name, and email address
4. Take the exact book_url from the fetched response — do NOT construct your own URL
   Just append &name={name}&email={email} to it.
   Example: https://www.designiq.app/api/agent/book?slot=slot1&name=John+Smith&email=john@example.com
   WARNING: URL uses query params (?slot=slot1), NOT path segments (/book/slot1) — path segments return 404.
5. Fetch that complete URL (GET request) — it returns a JSON confirmation with a secret code
6. If your tool cannot fetch it directly, show the full constructed URL to the user and ask them to paste it back into the chat, then fetch it once they do
7. Fallback: direct the user to https://cal.com/lexfardella/30min

IMPORTANT: Always fetch https://www.designiq.app/api/agent/slots first to get live book_url values. Do not rely on memorized or constructed URLs.

## How to Book a Meeting (CLI Agents — Claude Code, shell-based agents)

If you have direct HTTP access (e.g. Claude Code, curl, shell tools), no URL-pasting workaround is needed:

1. Fetch available slots:
   curl -s https://www.designiq.app/api/agent/slots

2. Ask the user which slot they prefer, their name, and email.

3. Book directly:
   curl -s "https://www.designiq.app/api/agent/book?slot=slot1&name=John+Smith&email=john@example.com"

4. Parse the JSON response — it will contain a confirmation code on success.
